Award-winning singer and soulful songstress Shashl will deliver a captivating and emotionally charged performance at the highly anticipated Nubian Notes Concert, taking place on 8 November 2025 at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
Hosted by Gateway Stream Media in collaboration with ZAR Events, the all-female musical showcase celebrates the power, artistry, and unity of women in music. For Shashl, being part of this event goes beyond the stage; it is a profound statement of strength and sisterhood.
“Being part of an all-female show is more than just a performance; it’s a statement of unity and strength,” says Shashl. “It’s about women standing together, celebrating each other’s voices, and breaking the narrative that we must compete to shine.”
Her upcoming performance promises to be a journey of emotion and truth and a reflection of growth, love, pain, and healing.
“My performance is inspired by real emotion,” she said. “Vulnerability is not weakness; it is art in its purest form. Every woman carries a story, and through my music, I want people to feel seen, understood, and uplifted.”
As one of Zimbabwe’s leading female voices, Shashl believes that women are not only participating in creative spaces—they are reshaping them.
“Women are redefining creativity across every space. We are innovators, leaders, and visionaries shaping culture in real time. We are showing the world that femininity and power can coexist,” she adds.
Shashl said her artistry is deeply rooted in authenticity, and she hopes her audience connects with that vulnerability.
“It’s going to be soulful and heartfelt, with a signature Shashl touch, real stories, beautiful melodies, and a connection that goes beyond the stage,” she says. “Let’s just say it’s a celebration of womanhood, music, and unity. You will have to be there to feel it.”
